Warehouse Workers Action Announces 2026 Illinois Primary Endorsements

Slate champions workers’ rights, immigrant protections, and accountability in the logistics industry

Warehouse Workers Action (WWA) today (February 12, 2026) announced its endorsements for the 2026 Illinois Primary Election. The advocacy group is backing a slate of candidates committed to advancing policies that protect Black, Latino, immigrant and all working people, strengthen labor standards, and hold corporations accountable across Illinois’ growing logistics and warehousing industry.

WWA works to elect leaders who stand with warehouse workers and their families, workers who form the backbone of Illinois’ supply chain and economy but too often face unsafe working conditions, wage theft, and retaliation for organizing.

“At a time when working families are under increasing attack, Illinois needs elected officials who will stand shoulder to shoulder with workers,” said Marcos Ceniceros, Board President of WWA. “Our endorsed candidates have demonstrated a clear commitment to protecting worker rights, defending immigrant communities, and advancing real solutions that improve job quality and safety across the logistics industry.”

The endorsements come amid heightened national threats to worker protections and immigrant communities. WWA expressed concern about continued attacks on low wage workers, labor unions, and Black, Latino, and all working people, including efforts that could undermine workplace protections, healthcare access, and basic civil rights.

“Warehouse workers, many of whom are immigrants, are essential to keeping our economy running,” said Ceniceros. “We need leaders who will fight to protect our communities from harmful federal overreach and from corporate practices that put profits ahead of worker safety and dignity.”

WWA’s endorsed candidates for the 2026 Illinois Primary Election include:

Warehouse Workers Action will mobilize its membership and community supporters across Illinois to educate voters and support these candidates throughout the primary election season.
